Despite education and prevention efforts, Heart Disease remains the LEADING cause of death in the United States per new statistics from the American Heart Association -2024. Heart Disease has had its reign of being the leading cause for now, 100 years and counting. Did you know that on average, someone dies of cardiovascular disease every 34 seconds in the U.S? How about the fact that approximately every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. will have a heart attack? With these type of statistics studied and brought forward from the American Heart Association, learning life saving efforts are critical. It becomes of game of not “What if” it happens but “When” it happens. That person could be someone close to you! Lets get certified and ready in the event we need to save a life!

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide individuals with comfortable, judgement free training that not only focuses on the knowledge of life-saving but build the confidence needed to carry out those life saving measures at any time. We want to encourage living healthier lifestyles by increasing awareness of heart disease, which is one of the top health problems faced in the U.S, and other risk factors. Even as we encourage prevention measures, we also want to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge needed in the event an emergency situation arise whether in a stranger or loved one. WE believe in teaching prevention, recognition and preparation.

Experienced & Certified Instructor

Founder and Lead Instructor, Viveka Monroe, has over 10 years of nursing experience at the hospital level in such specialties as critical care and emergency services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NC A&T State University as well as a Masters of Science -Nurse Education from UNC-Wilmington. Viveka has had the opportunity to be a certified instructor through the American Heart Association since 2016. She brings to the table real-life experiences, education, and skills to each class as she pours into her students to build confidence and knowledge based to save a life outside of the classroom.

Flexible Training Options

At Four Heart Sake LLC, We offer a variety of training options to fit your schedule and needs. Whether you prefer in-person classes or online training, we have a solution that works for you. We provide training at your location for groups of any size or on a smaller group need basis. Our training classes range for beginners that are non-clinical to experienced individuals alike. Everyone is a learner and treated with the end goal in mind! Our courses are designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond in an emergency situation. With our certified instructor and hands-on training, you can feel confident and competent in your ability to save a life.

Hands - On Experience and Scenarios

We know how intimidating this process can seem. Hands on experience as well as complete demonstration is important to Four Heart Sake. It is easy to go over information however the true knowledge comes when we are able to apply what we have learned in return demonstration. Mannikins with feedback devices, barrier devices, and AED devices will all be incorporated to promote confidence and comfort in life saving skills. We provide a judgement-free learning experience as students learn or renew skills. Everyone is a learner with Four Heart Sake. The object of this game is to have the confidence, knowledge and skills in every step as ample hands-on experience is given.

While providing at comfortable, judgement free atmosphere that promotes questions and understanding, we allow students to opportunity to learn openly and in a positive manner. It is important to us that you build the confidence needed as well as get the hands-on experience that will help to connect the dots. We keep the lines of communication open even after class in case you have a questions surrounding what to do. FHS does not want you to feel lost at any point if we are available to help. It is important to us to NOT just "hand out " a card BUT take out the intimidation and fear and add confidence and knowledge.
